We'll be counting on you! Thank you so much for your time! Yukiteru Amano is a loner who never really interacts with people and prefers writing a diary on his cell phone with his only companion being an imaginary friend named Deus Ex Machina, the God of Time and Space. However, Yuki soon learns that Deus is real when he makes Yuki participate in a battle royal with eleven other people. Within this "Diary Game", the contestants are given special diaries that can predict the future, with each diary having unique features that gives them both advantages and disadvantages.

Within the next 90 days, the contestants must try to kill each other and survive until there is only one person standing, the winner becoming the new God of Time and Space.

In order to survive, Yuki tries to find allies, with one of them being another diary user named Yuno Gasai, a girl who is madly in love with him. As the game continues, Yuki soon learns that Kuusou Mesorogiwi. Kuusou Mesorogiwi is the first, and so far the only, opening theme of Mirai Nikki.

It is sung by Yousei Teikoku.

For the lyrics and more, please visit Kuusou Mesorogiwi. Yukiteru Amano is a loner who spends his time writing in his cell phone diary, playing darts and talking to an imaginary friend, Deus Ex Machina.

However, one morning, he finds his diary entry for the day has Kongo no Araiansu is chapter 4 of Mirai Nikki. For most of the story, her role is minor, conversing with Deus as the game progresses and being relegated to comic relief in side-stories.

In the later chapters, Muru Muru reveals herself as the main antagonist of the story, plotting behind Deus' back to manipulate the events of the game for her own personal amusement. She also appears as a main antagonist in Future Diary: Paradox. Muru Muru appears as a diminutive human girl with dark skin, purple eyes, and lavender hair almost as long as her entire body.

She has faint red circles on her cheeks similar to Kamado Ueshita and a small dot on her forehead. Her usual outfit includes a pink turtleneck vest, white briefs, a large white bow with purple spots used to tie back her braids, blue shoes, and a pair of strange white leggings that flare out dramatically on the top, making her legs look much larger than they actually are.

She accessorizes her look with a golden trumpet tied to her waist and a pair of simple silver bracelets on her wrists; the latter serve as limiters to prevent her from using her full power. After Deus's demise, Muru Muru changes her vest's color to light blue and extends her leggings into full pants. She dons a tattered black cape, wears a smaller version of Deus's crown, and replaces the dot on her forehead with an X-shaped white bandage that covers a large number "1" referring to the world she hails from.

Correlating with her appearance, Muru Muru is a childish individual who is primarily concerned with her own amusement, seeing the Survival Game as a particularly entertaining diversion.

O q e o pib

Quite mischievous, she often disguises herself as other people and is actually mistaken to be the real one, despite her complete lack of a true disguise to sneak in places for seemingly no reason at all. She's also known to be an avid manga reader; it is suggested she reads mostly shoujo manga.

Despite these peculiar quirks, Muru Muru has shown herself to be a manipulative, cunning, and sneaky individual who plots behind Deus's back and uses the other participants in the way she sees fit to make the game more fun for her, ultimately revealing that she has little to no loyalty towards Deus.

She also seems to belittle humans, or at the very least non-participants, believing the likes of Aru Akise to be unfit to enter the Cathedral of Causality and expressing homophobic remarks towards him - however, this might be due to his role as Deus's Observer conflicting with her own goals. Much of Muru Muru's behavior can be explained by the being seen through most of the series being from the first world, and thereby being bound to a different god; it is unclear if the other versions of Muru Muru would develop similar tendencies if the Survival Game was allowed to proceed as planned.

Although Muru Muru is loyal to the god she is currently serving, she has no qualms about manipulating other deities for her own god's benefit. One such example of this is when the first Muru Muru tricked the second Deus and altered the course of the Survival Game to favor Yuno. In the post-credits scene of Episode 19, however, she is seen at Mother's Orphanage with Orin Miyashirowho asks her about her parents. Muru Muru is then shown to think of Deus at this and the two continue discussing Muru Muru's "parent", with very different images in mind.

Some of the other bonus segments imply a parent-child relationship between Muru Muru and Deus, with Muru Muru attempting to make snacks for Deus and Deus tucking Muru Muru into bed after she tires herself out. However, some of this can be attributed to Deus being unaware that "his" Muru Muru is actually an impostor from the first world. Despite her loyalty, Muru Muru isn't above trying to influence her god for her own amusement. He creates the Future Diaries with the help of John Bacchus and holds the Survival Game to find a suitable successor to his title before his imminent death causes the destruction of the universe.

Able to manipulate time, space, and the laws of cause and effect, Deus is the most powerful entity in the series, acting as the judge of the Survival Game. Deus is an extremely large and alien figure, towering over other characters at well over a hundred feet tall. His head resembles the skull of an unknown creature, with a golden crown on top and a shock of white and blue hair protruding from the back; he also has long, pale arms with claw-like fingernails.

The rest of his body is hidden beneath a dark cloak with a high collar and golden adornments, with a red and purple band around the neck area. In his first appearance alone, he is shown provoking a war for fun, and he develops the Survival Game without considering the consequences for the participants being forced to kill each other.

He also seems to have chosen several participants based on how "interesting" they will make the game, regardless of their motives to become his successor.

As a result, many of the Survival Game candidates are planning to use their eventual godhood for selfish and destructive ends - some even plot to destroy the universe outright - and others have no desire to play the game at all. Furthermore, while Deus never outright lies, he is not above manipulating the truth to achieve his desired goals, such as evading Yukiteru's question over whether or not he could revive the dead as a god.

Although far from a benevolent god, Deus is not without compassion and has occasionally done good things without any personal profit.

Prior to the Survival Game, he saved Minene Uryu from death despite her hatred of gods, offering her a Future Diary and a place in his game without coercion. Additionally, while Deus's rationale for holding games is often incomprehensible, he shows a clear sense of honor when the Survival Game is in progress, answering the participants' questions and doing whatever he believes necessary for the game to be as fair as possible.

In the latter case, he even gave half of his own knowledge and powers to Minene in order to aid her mission, despite accelerating his own demise in the process.

The fact that he interacts with certain humans seemingly without any explanation implies that Deus may, in fact, be fond of some humans, or at the very least those whom he finds to be interesting. Deus is an ancient deity who rules over time, space and the laws of causality. It is implied that he may be able to rewind time, but leaping back in time can create parallel worlds. He has control of the Akashic Records, the universal compendium of knowledge and history. He is shown to be able to create artificial lifeforms, namely Aru Akisewho he can program with a full range of emotions and desires; when their use has expired, he can deconstruct them just as easily.

Deus operates from the Cathedral of Causalitydepicted as a large domed building with purple lighting. Deus sits in a large throne which hovers just above the ground amid a partial sphere of metal fragments; he can also summon a "resting sphere" around himself to conserve energy and have private conversations with others.

Yuno Gasai

The cathedral also has an arena where Deus and Muru Muru summon the diary holders for occasional meetings. The arena is covered with an endless cloudy sky, revealed to actually be a cover for the Akashic Records.

As Deus's death draws nearer, his body, throne, and the Cathedral itself all begin to crumble and fall apart. Despite his tremendous power, even Deus has limitations. He remains oblivious to the existence of the first alternate world, implying he only has power over the time and space of the universe he lives in.She is obsessed with Yukiteru Amano, the main male protagonist of the story.

He is her love interest. Yuno Gasai is a young teenage girl with pink eyes and long pink hair styled in pigtails, two strands of hair hanging as frontal locks featuring a pair of red bows, and the back pigtails left bare.

Her most common attire consists of a blue shirt with a ribbon on her chest accompanied by a blue skirt with high socks school uniformbut her wardrobe changes occasionally throughout the series. Yuno's personality is ambiguous. For the most part she is sweet, feminine, and sometimes shy when around Yukiteru. But, this masks her dark and sanguinary side—ruthless, cold and calculating. She will resort to cruel and usually violent methods, most of the time coming out of nowhere, that generally end in bloody deaths, of either a Diary Holder or their followers, effectively making her a Yandere.

Yukiteru becomes Yuno's main focus in life after he gives her something to live for. Her brutal personality mostly results from abuse inflicted by her mother and the absence of her father, which finally ended with their deaths two years prior to the Survival Game. This was the beginning of her changes, as she later became quite lonely and sorrowful.

This is shown in her somewhat morbid habits of talking to her parents' dead bodies, telling them about her day and claiming she will bring by Yukiteru. She even took their heads with her when she trapped Yukiteru in a hotel, and when Aru Akise moved their bodies, she became angry and said her parents were sleeping and that he woke them up. These events also show her complex feelings about her family. Although she wanted them to feel and understand the pain she experienced because of their abuse, she essentially just feels deeply betrayed by them.

She wanted them to be a happy family, but because of their neglectful behavior and their deaths, she felt like her life had no purpose. Thus, when Yukiteru told her they would get married when they grew up, he unwittingly became a pillar of support that gave her much-needed stability.

She was prepared to resort to violence if Yukiteru's mother ever opposed her which did not happenstating that she did not "need her tools. At one point she even kidnapped Yukiteru and held him hostage because she was so terrified that another diary user would kill him.

Aru has stated that Yukiteru provides a stabilizing influence in her normally chaotic and violent life. Despite her insanity, Yuno has shown some reservedness to killing. This is shown when, after Yukiteru calls her his girlfriend, she instantly lets Hinata go when she intended to slit her throat. The fact that she did this rather than killing her anyway to ensure that there was no chance Yukiteru would fall for her suggests that she doesn't actually enjoy killing; she merely does it because she sees no other option.

It is shown many times in the series just how deeply insecure Yuno truly is when she says her life would not be worth living if she could not be the center of Yukiteru's world. Her crippling fear of losing him is notably the only thing that can cause her usually disturbing composure to crack.

In the third world, the Third World Yuno seemed to be very nice and calm, possibly because she still had love for her parents and there was no survival game for them to participate in. This allowed Yuno to stay mentally sane. However, as a side effect of receiving her First World self's memories, it is implied that she might still remember some of the things that occurred in the first world as she states that she feels as if something is missing. Her diary is the Yukiteru Diarywhich tells her everything about Yukiteru in ten minute-intervals.

While this means that her diary is basically useless by itself, if combined with Yukiteru's Random Diary that predicts only Yukiteru's surroundings, they can cover each other's weaknesses, making the two a fearsome duo.

Even while the diary does not help her much by itself, Yuno can more than enough make up for it with her cunning intelligence, which has saved both Yukiteru and herself multiple times.

She quickly formulates most of the plans the pair uses to save themselves from the attacks of the other participants. She is also skilled in setting traps, for example when she booby-trapped an abandoned hotel with multiple tools, such as electronic locks, concrete gas in the anime and even a sickle in an elevator also in the anime.

Her intelligence, which is her greatest asset, is displayed when she manages to outwit her opponents such as the very formidable Akise. Yuno is shown to be quite resourceful. For example, she uses a shard of glass as a mirror to check the position of Minene Uryu during her bombing attack and a pair of stones against Yomotsu to root him out among his copycats.

In addition to intelligence and cunning, perhaps her most fearsome ability is demonstrating proficiency with any type of weaponry she gets her hands on.This wiki. This wiki All wikis. An episode live-action television drama aired between April and June Esuno has also authored three side-story manga, each one spanning five chapters: first Future Diary: Mosaic which focuses on another Diary Holder, Minene Uryu, and tells unrevealed plot points of the main story; in —, Future Diary: Paradox published in Young Acewhich tells the exploits of Aru Akise and Muru Muru set in an alternate timeline, and inFuture Diary: Redialwhich serves as an epilogue to the series.

Deus transforms Yukiteru's phone into a Future Diary, capable of predicting the future up to ninety days. Yukiteru discovers he and eleven others are part of a survival game orchestrated by Deus. The aim of this game is to eliminate the other diary holders, the winner succeeding Deus as god and can prevent the Apocalypse. Two major players they encounter are terrorist Minene Uryu, who wants to destroy all religion after her parents died in a faith-fuelled war; and Keigo Kurusu, a police officer who wants to end the game.

Later, Kurusu betrays Yukiteru and Yuno when he discovers his bed-ridden son is suffering from a terminal illness. He assassinates diary holder Karyuudo Tsukishima and frames Yukiteru and Yuno. Minene turns to detective Masumi Nishijima, exposing Kurusu's crime. In his shame, Kurusu eliminates himself from the game. John Bacchus, the city's mayor and designer of the Future Diaries, tries to manipulate Yukiteru's debt-ridden father Kurou into stealing his son's diary.

Kurou fails, unintentionally murdering his ex-wife Rea, and is then assassinated by Bacchus' men. Yukiteru vows to win the game and resurrect his parents. He and Yuno target the remaining diary holders, Minene, Bacchus, and Kamado Ueshita who runs an orphanage. Meanwhile, Yukiteru's astute friend Aru Akise, and Nishijima investigate the discovery of three corpses in Yuno's house, two being her parents, and the third identified as being Yuno Gasai, bringing her identity into question.

Kamado's diary, which can give others substitute diaries, is connected to a supercomputer, giving everyone in the city Future Diaries as part of Bacchus' plan to help humanity evolve. He seals himself in a bank vault owned by Yuno's parents, her fingerprints the only way to access it.

Minene sacrifices herself to destroy the vault but fails, only for Aru to witness Yuno access the vault and kill Bacchus. Wanting answers, Aru confronts Deus who reveals the boy is an artificial human designed to observe the game and keep it in balance, but confirms there is a conspiracy around Yuno.

Yukiteru murders his friends and then Kamado. Aru battles Yuno, destroying her diary but discovers she has a spare.

Realising the truth, Aru shows a text to Yukiteru before Yuno decapitates him. As the days to the Apocalypse approach, Yukiteru and Yuno consummate their relationship. However, Yukiteru reveals Aru's suggestion that Yuno originates from another timeline and she immediately turns on him. Muru Muru, the true mastermind behind the game's course, confirms Aru's theory.

Yukiteru died and Yuno won the game in another timeline but discovered not even the power of a god could bring back the dead. In her sorrow, Yuno went back in time, creating an alternate timelinemurdering and replacing her other self.

Yuno and Muru Muru go back in time again, creating a third world, pursued by Yukiteru and Minene, kept alive by Deus as a wild card and imbued with a portion of his power. Both parties battle to protect or kill the third world's Yuno and her parents.

Yuno, unable to kill Yukiteru, traps him in a dream world where she doesn't exist, and then attacks her alternate self. Yukiteru remembers Yuno, escaping his prison aided by the second world's Muru Muru, and stops Yuno. Though Yukiteru asks Yuno to kill him so she can live, she instead eliminates herself and dies in his arms. Yukiteru becomes god and is dragged to the second world by Muru Muru.Obsessed with Yukiteru AmanoYuno comes off at first as a crazed stalker but is very devoted to Yuki.

She possesses two personalities, one being a sweet, devoted girl, and the other a psychotic, obsessive, cruel, deadly being. She is the holder of the "Yukiteru Diary". While this means that her diary is basically useless by itself, if combined with Yukiteru's Random Diary that predicts Yukiteru's surroundings, it can cover Yuno's weakness and protect Yukiteru, making the two a fearsome duo. Even while the diary does not help her much by itself, Yuno can more than enough make for it with her great and cunning intelligence, which has saved both Yukiteru and herself in several times.

Her intelligence being her greatest asset, she has shown to be able to outwit all of her opponents, even Akise. Although she possesses no real powers, Yuno has an uncanny sense of aim, and can use any small object as a deadly weapon.

She has killed people with toothpicks, pencils, cards, and other ordinary objects, hurling them with fatal accuracy. Yuno is shown to be quite resourceful, using a shard of glass as a mirror to check the position of Minene Uryu during her bombing attack, as well as a pair of stones against Yomotsu to discover him amongst his copycats. She also is fairly acknowledgable of poison and drugs although she uses them in few times.

She has also demonstrated to be quite skilled in infiltration, as she has in more than one occassion entered a building unnoticed even while it was protected by the police.

Also despite her feminine appearance, Yuno has demonstrated impressive feats of physical strength mostly when angered, seen when she could free herself from two boys her age holding her in both arms, as well as free herself from two Omekata Cult members even when Tsubaki kissed Yukiteru and killed them too, even though she was severely weakened by the excessive amount of physical activity performed at that time. Also during the second attack against The Eleventh she was capable of slicing up a person in half with a katana.

On top of all that, Yuno possesses godly powers from winning the first Diary Game. An example of such power is moving enormous structures through her will alone, such as when she tried to crush Yukiteru. It is revealed over the course of Future Diary is that there are three Yunos, originating from three different parallel worlds created when the first Yuno performs time leaps to the past. The first Yuno and the most prominent, travelled to the second world and killed her second self to replace her.

She created a third world to kill her third self to relive her time with Yuki, but ultimately decided not to, sparing her third self.

Yuno's life was a happy one for several years until the strain of money began to emotionally and psychologically affect her parents. Yuno's father stayed away at work until the late hours and barely interacted with his family. Yuno's mother began to abuse her, wanting her to become the "perfect citizen", eventually locking her in a cage and timing everything she did, from sleeping to eating.
